WHO KNOWS

Who Knows is a genre-blending collective led by Philadelphia-based guitarist and producer Ameya Deshpande. Who Knows’ music is inspired by the rhythmic complexity of the likes of Yussef Dayes, the soulful groove of Tom Misch, and the laid-back feel of contemporary jazz fusion, the group offers a fresh, atmospheric sound that bridges improvisation with production-savvy polish. Rooted in Philly’s vibrant music scene, Who Knows features a tight ensemble of talented local musicians: Daniel Wilfred (drums), Joab Alexander (keys), Miguel Cid (bass), and Chet Williams (saxophone). Guest appearances, including solos by guitarist Dave Thaker, further expand the band’s textured sonic landscape. The result is a sound that’s improvisation-forward, rhythmically rich, and emotionally resonant.

Their self-titled debut EP, Who Knows, releases on June 14, 2025. Across five tracks, the band blends warm analog textures, chilled-out grooves, and cinematic soundscapes. It’s music equally suited for deep listening, sunset drives, or intimate live shows. Ameya’s background in jazz and production anchors the band’s hybrid sound—rooted in tradition but always forward-facing.

Known for their dynamic live performances, Who Knows is building a reputation for immersive, groove-heavy sets that resonate with fans of jazz, neo-soul, and instrumental hip-hop alike.
