SPIRIT FURNACE
Spirit Furnace is a Philly based experimental rock group. Originally formed as a duo in 2022, Spirit Furnace has since expanded to a four-piece featuring Max Engleman (guitar and vocals), August Schultz (drums), Victor Nica (guitar), and Jared Marxuach (bass and keyboard). Inspired by 20th century classical music, jazz fusion, shoegaze, electronic music, and South Asian classical music, Spirit Furnace plays with pattern, texture, and improvisation, blending enveloping atmospheres with hypnotic, shifting riffs and structures.
